momentsiam asked: One of my favorite solid state amps is the Ampeg SS-140 head. Excellent full cleans, and a great versatile distortion. They go crazy cheap too, everyone seems to chase vintage Acoustic (like myself), or Sunn, so these Ampegs are just left hanging out. I know another model of Ampeg closely related to the SS-140 is popular among the death metal crowd too, the VH-140.
